More than a tax write-off -
It's an opportunity for justice.

All contributions of $2 and over are tax-deductible. Every dollar goes entirely to our First Nations partners investing in young people, climate and culture.

We did it - $400k reached by EOFY!!!

A massive thank you to the hundreds of individuals and small businesses who stood up this EOFY to support First Nations justice. You've proven that when people understand the choice between tax deductions and justice, they choose justice.

Because of your solidarity, we can now redirect $40k each to 8 existing community partners and 2 new community organisations protecting Country, supporting young people, reviving culture and language, and responding to injustice.

The EOFY: Justice, Not Just Returns campaign invites individuals, businesses and philanthropists to reframe this financial year from reducing your tax burden to increasing your contribution to First Nations justice.

As EOFY approaches, millions of people donate to minimise their tax obligations -  with estimates showing that 30-40% of annual donations occur in June alone. Yet First Nations people remain systematically excluded from this charitable surge, where only 0.5% of philanthropic funding in so-called Australia reaches First Nations community organisations.

EOFY isn’t just about your financial bottom line, it’s about your moral baseline.

It's a chance to reflect on how income, property ownership and business profits in so-called Australia have been built on dispossession - and how genuine repair requires redistributing wealth and addressing the funding inequities that exclude First Nations community organisations.

Where does your money go?

We're redirecting $40,000 each to 8 existing and 2 new community partners driving real change on the ground.

Every dollar goes directly to our community partners where they have the autonomy and self-determination to decide how that money is best spent based on their needs and priorities. To learn more about each of our partners' work, click here.

Who is First Nations Futures?

First Nations Futures was established to address the economic barriers that First Nations community organisations face within funding systems. In response, we have created a new, diversified, First Nations-led funding model. Our model calls on individuals, corporations, and philanthropy across so-called Australia to redistribute wealth and power to First Nations community organisations creating intergenerational change.

We are grounded in First Nations governance and ways of working that enable First Nations organisations to access resources on their own terms and drive solutions defined by their communities. Currently, we work in partnership with eight community organisations - and aim to expand this network across the continent as we grow.

"EOFY isn’t just about your financial bottom line, it’s about your moral baseline."
